A couple weeks back Hungry Girl on Facebook had a post containing a link to allow (I want to say to the first 10,000) people to sign up to obtain a free sample of 2 of Hungry Girl’s favorite Quest Bars. Since I had just recently purchased a few Quest Bars at GNC and found that I am enjoying them – I decided to sign up to get the free flavors.
In case you are not aware – Quest Bars are a protein bar, which are sold packed with fiber (which will not only fill your belly, but will also aid in helping you have a healthy digestive system). The bars all range in different Weight Watchers Points Plus values. Every single person that I have spoken to has a different favorite flavor. The greatest thing about these bars is that you can eat them straight out of the package or you can heat them up – either in the microwave or even in the toaster oven (in some instances making “cookies” out of the bar).
The two flavors provided were: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (5 PPV) and Apple Pie (4PPV).Quest also graciously provided a code with each package for free shipping for any product(s) from their website.
If you’re wondering where these bars are sold – they are available at GNC (I’d suggest trying 1 or 2 out individually at GNC before committing to a full case if you haven’t tried before), on Quest’s website, Amazon.com, Vitacost.com, etc.

Right before the Super Bowl Papa John’s sent an e-mail out allowing recipients to vote as to what would be called at the Super Bowl during the coin toss. The choices were, of course, heads or tails. The stipulation was if you picked the correct choice the day after the Super Bowl Papa John’s would e-mail you a unique promo code for a free large 1-topping pizza of your choice. Those that choose the incorrect side of the coin were still awarded, I believe, a 50% off your order coupon code.
I picked heads and heads was called so I received my promo code as stated, the next day.Later in the week my boyfriend and I didn’t have dinner plans and decided to just order a pizza from Papa John’s. We got our staple pepperoni (the boyfriends choice, I’d be happy with cheese or banana pepper ring!) but I requested a thin crust pie this time (mainly to shave the calories and points associated with a slice off).
The thin crust pizza was pretty good. I find on the short commute home from the pizzeria (about 7 minutes) Papa’s thin crust never really survives the colder temperatures out doors (even in a warm car). The pizza was rather luke warm when we got it home – but nonetheless it was free and dinner was served!
Each slice was 7 points plus – of course the point value would increase slightly depending on the amount of pizza you consumed. I had 2 slices and it was 15 Points Plus.

Last month a Burlington Coat Factory store opened and with their opening they sent out $10 off your purchase coupons/flyers to all area residents. I received one of them in the mail, stuck it in my purse and decided I’d check out the store when I was in the area. A few weeks later I popped into the store and browsed around. Originally I was going to purchase a handbag, but the opening was rather small — well, small in comparison to what I was looking for. I knew it was going to bother me over time so I decided to not get it — but instead found these 5 pound hand weights in the little fitness center. I had been looking at hand weights at Target and Walmart and the 3 pounders were $8 each — this set for both was $7.99 so it made them absolutely free! They’re made of good sturdy material The hand surface is smooth, which after using may require me to handle with textured gloves (to avoid slippage and smashing my toes to smithereens). But overall I’m happy with my purchase!
